Split PDF

Split a multi-page PDF into separate pages
so you get 1 page per 1 file.
or drop your PDF here

How to Use the Split PDF Tool

  1. Upload PDF

Choose the file you want to split or drag & drop it into the tool area. A preview of each page will appear automatically.
  2. Preview and select pages

Instantly preview all pages after upload. To exclude any page from the download set, click the cross (×) on that page card.
  3. Download per page

If you only need certain pages, click the download button under that page card to save it as a single-page PDF.
  4. Download all (ZIP)

When you’re ready, click “Download All (ZIP)” to get a ZIP that contains one PDF per page you kept.
  5. Choose a new file

To start over, use the back arrow next to the download button to close the preview and pick another PDF.

This tool runs 100% in your browser. No files are uploaded to a server.

Troubleshooting

Preview doesn’t show / pages can’t be read — what to do?

Make sure the file is a real .pdf and not password-protected. If it’s encrypted or corrupted, the preview won’t load. Re-save it from your PDF app or “Print to PDF” again before splitting.

Clicking “Download All (ZIP)” does nothing

Very large files or many pages may take longer — please wait a moment. If it still doesn’t start, reduce the number of pages to download (remove pages you don’t need first) or download pages one by one.

Why were some pages skipped / missing in the ZIP?

If you clicked delete (×) on that page card, it won’t be included. Review the pages before creating the ZIP. If you removed one by mistake, refresh the preview or re-upload to start over.

Device slows/freezes during preview or export

All processing is done in your browser. Performance depends on your device and the PDF size. Close unnecessary tabs, reduce pages included in the ZIP, or split the work into several rounds.

After removing unwanted pages, how do I merge the rest back?

After splitting, use the Merge PDF tool to combine selected single-page PDFs back into one file.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I remove only specific pages?

This version outputs one page = one PDF file. If you want a single PDF with only some pages, download the needed pages and then use the Merge PDF tool.

What’s the page order after splitting?

Filenames include page numbers in order, e.g., document-page-001.pdf, 002.pdf, so you can track the sequence easily.

What does “Reading page …/…” mean?

It’s the progress indicator for rendering page previews. When it’s done, you’ll see all page cards and can download right away.

Do you support password-protected (encrypted) PDFs?

Not yet. Please remove the password or re-save as a non-encrypted PDF before splitting.

Can I set custom filenames for downloads?

The name is derived from your original file with safe characters (forbidden characters removed, length limited to ~100). If you want a different base name, rename the original before upload.
