Troubleshooting Common Issues
Why does the size not change after entering pixel values?
The system limits the maximum width and height to 9999 pixels and the minimum to 1 pixel. If you enter values above or below this range, the tool will automatically adjust them, which may look like the image is not changing.
Why does the image look blurry or pixelated after resizing smaller?
When you resize to a much smaller size, for example from 4000px down to 400px, details are naturally lost due to pixel reduction. This is not a tool error. To keep better clarity, reduce step by step or choose a size that matches your use case.
Why does the height change automatically after entering the width?
Because the “Keep Ratio” option is enabled. The system automatically adjusts the other dimension to maintain the aspect ratio and prevent distortion. If you don’t want this, turn off the “Keep Ratio” option before resizing.
Why do pixel numbers change when I move the percentage slider?
The percentage slider is designed to sync directly with the width and height. For example, moving it to 50% will reduce the image size by half in both dimensions, so the pixel numbers change accordingly.
Why doesn’t it work when I enter zero or negative values?
The resize tool enforces a minimum of 1 pixel to prevent errors. If you enter 0 or negative values, the system will automatically reset them to 1px.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What’s the difference between resizing by percentage and entering pixels manually?
Resizing by percentage automatically scales from its original size, while entering pixel values lets you set the width or height manually. If “Keep Ratio” is enabled, the system will automatically adjust the other dimension.
Does resizing reduce image quality or make it pixelated?
If you resize to a much smaller size, details will be reduced as expected, but the image will remain clear enough for the new resolution. It won’t become overly distorted.
Can I resize images larger than 9999px?
No. The maximum size is limited to 9999px per side due to browser and tool restrictions. This prevents excessive memory usage that could crash your device.
Can I resize multiple files at once?
Currently, the resize tool supports resizing one image at a time. If you want to resize multiple images, upload them one by one. If batch resizing is supported in the future, we will announce it clearly.
Can the exported file be saved in another format?
No. The downloaded file will always remain in the same format as the original upload. For example, upload JPG → download JPG, PNG → PNG, WEBP → WEBP. This ensures compatibility and prevents file errors.
