Troubleshooting

Converted to JPG but the file is not smaller, or even larger?

If the original file is a flat-color/text PNG or a highly compressed WEBP, the size may not decrease. We recommend using the resize image tool first, or consider converting to WEBP.

Why does the transparent background disappear and turn white?

JPG does not support transparency. The system will automatically fill the background with solid white. If you want to keep transparency, please use PNG or WEBP instead.

Why do some file types upload but show no result?

This page only supports PNG, WEBP, and BMP. Other file types (such as HEIC, GIF, TIFF, SVG, or even JPG itself) will be automatically skipped. Please check your file format before uploading.

Why do animated images (like animated WEBP) become static?

JPG does not support animation. The tool will use the first frame of the animation as the JPG output.

Why are EXIF data, shooting date, or GPS location lost after conversion?

Browser-based conversion usually strips metadata. If you want to keep EXIF data, we recommend backing up your original files.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is this tool safe? Are my files uploaded to a server?

All image processing happens locally on your computer or mobile browser. Your files remain fully private, with no uploads, tracking, or storage on our servers.

What are the advantages of JPG? When should I use it?

JPG is ideal when you need smaller files, faster loading, and universal compatibility. It works best for photos or web/social content. However, it is not suitable for transparent backgrounds or graphics with sharp text.

What are the maximum supported file types and quantity?

It depends on your device and browser. Very large or high-resolution images may take longer. We recommend processing them in smaller batches.

Can I choose JPG quality or resize before converting?

This tool focuses on simple image-to-JPG conversion only. The system automatically applies optimized settings. For more control, please use the Compress Image tool or Resize Image tool first.

Why is the filename slightly modified after download?

For security reasons, the system automatically adjusts special characters or emojis into standard text. You can still rename the file manually afterward.
