Troubleshooting

Why doesn’t the converted GIF move?

If you upload only one image, the result will be a static GIF. You need to upload at least 2 images to create an animated GIF.

Preview not showing or only shows a blank box

This usually happens when the original file is too large or your device has insufficient memory. Try resizing the images smaller and re-uploading, or use the latest version of a browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

Why do colors look distorted or faded in the converted GIF?

GIF supports a maximum of only 256 colors, so vibrant tones or subtle gradients may be lost. To get colors closer to the original, it’s recommended to use a JPG file as the source.

Set “seconds per frame” but the timing doesn’t change — how to fix?

After entering a value between 0.1–5 seconds per frame, you must click the refresh button (⟳) to regenerate the GIF with the new timing.

Why can’t I open the created GIF in some programs?

Certain older apps or image viewers may not support standard GIF files. Try opening the GIF in a browser (Chrome/Firefox/Edge) or upload it to a supported social media platform.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I create transparent GIFs?

At this time, creating transparent-background GIFs is not supported, even if the original PNG has transparency.

Do I need to install extra software?

No installation is required. This tool runs and processes directly in your browser, so you can use it instantly without downloading any programs.

Why is the GIF file size larger than the original?

GIF uses an older compression method and has a limited color palette, so it often produces larger file sizes than JPG/WEBP, especially with photos or images containing many details.

Why are GIFs more commonly used for stickers or icons instead of photos?

GIF is best suited for flat-color graphics with simple areas, such as logos, icons, buttons, or stickers. Photos usually lose color accuracy and result in unnecessarily large file sizes.

Is this tool really free to use?

Yes, this tool is 100% free to use with no limits on the number of times.
