Troubleshooting Guide
Why doesn’t the crop box get bigger when I enter pixel values?
The system limits the width and height so they cannot exceed the actual image size. If the input is higher, it will be automatically adjusted down.
Why can’t I zoom or rotate the image?
This crop tool is designed only for dragging and resizing. Zooming or rotating is not supported. If you need to rotate the image, please do it before uploading.
Why does nothing happen when I click download?
This usually occurs when no crop area is selected, or the crop box is too small to generate a file. Try adjusting the crop box and try again.
Why is my image tilted or flipped after uploading?
Some cameras add Orientation (EXIF) data, which may cause the image to appear rotated in the browser. If this happens, rotate or re-save the file before cropping again.
Why is the cropped file size almost the same as the original and not smaller?
Cropping only cuts the selected area; it does not compress the file. The quality and format remain unchanged. To reduce file size, use the image compressor or resize image tool.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What file type will I get after using this photo cropper tool?
The output will be the same format as the original file. For example, if you upload a JPG, the downloaded file will also be JPG.
How is the “online image cropper” different from the “resize image tool”?
Cropping means cutting out part of the image while keeping the resolution of that part. Resizing means shrinking or enlarging the whole image, changing the total number of pixels.
Does cropping reduce image quality?
No, this online image cropper only removes areas without additional compression. JPG is saved at maximum quality, while PNG and WEBP remain unchanged.
Will a transparent background remain after cropping?
When you trim picture areas with transparency, the result depends on the file format. PNG and WEBP keep transparency, but JPG does not support it.
Are cropped files stored on the server?
All cropping is processed locally in your browser. Files are never uploaded or stored on the server. Once you close or refresh the page, everything is cleared immediately.
